“Vicious Circle” DLC

This is a small add-on for The Witch that ties up a few loose ends and smoothly leads Chelsea’s story into the remake of the first game.

How to start the DLC and where the first scene is

1) Right at the start, at night.
If you talk to the guard at night and choose “Stay”, you’ll get a bed scene.

2) Go to the far end of the location, find Maria, and talk to her.

3) You need money. Two options:

• grab coins in the square near the wagon;

• or get money by having sex with the guard.

4) Talk to the fortune teller.
If you decide to ask for your fortune, the guard may try to pin you for “spiritual services”. It’s a separate conflict, so don’t skip the dialogue.

5) Buy linen or honey from the vendor.
You’ll need it soon, so don’t put it off.

6) The Miller and the dildo.
You can get the dildo from the Miller in a few ways:

• directly through sex;

• or through Weber’s route: negotiate, help him, and bring things back.

Weber’s route:

• Weber offers invisible nails in exchange for sex, or asks you to retrieve his device.

• If you go to the guards, it’s simple: sex.

• If you talk to the Jester, he’ll hand over a part or item for free, but he’ll push boundaries and ask whether Chelsea wants to sleep with him.

7) Go back to the Miller and give him the nails.
After that, you can take the dildo.

8) Return to Maria and talk to her again.

9) Beyond reality.
Talk to Maria one more time. Important: if you choose the wrong door, a shoggoth will grab you. Save before choosing so you don’t get mad.

10) You get Weber out of prison through his invention.
You need two parts of the mechanism:

• the first part is in his house, behind a lock (there’s a puzzle);

• alternative route: in the square there’s Henri the executioner’s torture room, and he’ll give you the key for sex.

11) The second part of the mechanism: from the Jester

12) Go to Weber’s shop, take the old TV (yes, literally), and bring it to him.

After the TV and the key parts, the story becomes fairly linear: dialogues, scene breaks, fewer branches.

One exception is the black-and-white world. You can stall the guard there, and the most straightforward way to do it is, of course, sex.
