The Christmas Update!

We finished most of the update, took a week off for Christmas, and now we're back!

A new character, house, and quest has been added!

A mysterious and scary-looking dungeon has appeared in The Sunny Fields.

New legendary items have been added which can change your player stats while held such as poison resistance.

Originally we were going to create a map screen painting but realized this wouldn't be sustainable to redraw if the map terrain changes in the future. So we decided to get rid of the old auto-generated texture & replace it with a new top-down perspective.

Christmas this year will be January 3rd to January 18th. Every year after Christmas content will be available December 17th to December 31st.

• Added Santa hats everywhere.

Changes

• Optimized many areas of the map to reduce GPU usage when further away.

• Items can now change player stats while held such as poison resistance.

• Updated inventory item UI tooltip to make it more readable.

  • Increased width.

  • Decreased background transparency.

  • Y position now adjusts to avoid going off-screen.

Fixes

• Fixed poison mushroom plants changing color after respawning.
