Hey everyone,

We just hit 6,000 wishlists on Detective Blacktail… and I’m not gonna lie, we didn't expect to get that many attention!

What started as a rough idea in our heads is now something thousands of people are waiting for. That’s crazy to think about, and we genuinely appreciate every single one of you.

Right now, we’re deep into writing.

And not just casual writing — we’re trying to make this a proper detective story.

Which means:

• Every clue has to make sense

• Every reveal has to connect

• Every character needs believable motives

And that’s… hard as hell.

We’re constantly going back and adjusting things to make sure the mystery actually holds up and the pacing feels right. We also want the dialogue to stay engaging and true to the characters.

We already finished the full story outline, but turning that into something tight and compelling is the real challenge. We really think it's the most important part of the game.

We’re not just making a simple VN. We’re trying to build a:

NSFW detective noir visual novel with horror elements that has 3 different endings.

Which means we’re juggling:

• Dark mystery and investigation

• Horror and psychological tension

• Romance and character-driven moments

• Lighthearted/funny dialogue

• And yeah… the spicy and raunchy stuff too

Trying to balance all of that into one cohesive experience? It’s honestly kind of ridiculous.

There are moments where we step back and go:
“Yeah… we might have gone a bit too crazy with this.”

But at the same time, that’s what makes it exciting.

There’s a ton of moving parts, and some days it feels like everything depends on getting this one piece right (and right now, that piece is the writing).

But seeing the support, the wishlists, the interest; it really makes us want to keep going.
