Skill Tree, Special Skills & Gear Updates
Hello everyone đź–¤
It’s been 3 weeks since our last update, feels like it was just last week. Our next update is planned for May 15. Sounds like a long time… but with everything we’re working on, it somehow feels like it won’t be enough 🙂

The Skill Tree is the main focus of this update.
Its visible side is mostly in place now. Icons, spells, and many gameplay effects are already integrated. But there’s still a lot happening behind the scenes.
We’ve also merged attribute points directly into the Skill Tree.
This means:
You can assign skill points and attribute points on the same screen
Instantly see how those changes affect your character
Manage your companions’ progression from the same place
Since builds now matter more, you’ll also be able to clearly see which weapons your character and companions are using while distributing points. One of the key features here is that you can modify the attributes and skill trees of all your companions, not just those currently in your party.

With the addition of spells and deeper progression, mana has become much more important.
You might find yourself wanting to reset your build and invest more into Intellect or Wisdom.
And yes, respec is now available:
First reset is free
Each additional reset costs progressively more gold
This way, you can experiment freely early on, while still making meaningful long-term decisions.

Spells are turning out to be one of the most exciting additions.
Curse & Poison spells provide strong AoE damage, especially in close combat
Healing restores both you and nearby companions
But this also makes choosing your special skills much harder.
While spells and healing are powerful and fun, we’ve also updated several weapon abilities:
Improved animations, VFX, and SFX
For example, the Spear special attack feels significantly better
You can switch things around depending on what feels the most fun. Flexibility is exactly what we want.

We’ve started revisiting our armor sets.
The quest set Coarse Leather has been:
Visually reworked
Expanded with new pieces like belts and shoulders
You’ll be able to find these updated versions in early Tier 1 levels.
This is just the beginning. We’ll continue improving more sets over time.

Alongside all of this, we’re continuing improvements across the board:
Optimization
VFX & Audio polish
Reworking older outfits
There’s still a lot to do, but things are coming together.

This update is shaping up to be one of our biggest so far.
Even though May 15 feels both far away and very close at the same time, we’re pushing hard to make sure everything lands in a satisfying state.
As always, your feedback continues to guide us.
