One Developer, Thousands of Lines: Tenebris Legion Progress Report
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share what I've been working on these past few weeks. Development has been intense, and I'm making significant progress towards the summer 2026 full release.
I've just completed a complex dinner sequence featuring over 1,000 lines of dialogue. Every conversation is designed as a strategic encounter where characters have their own objectives and agendas. It's not just filler dialogue; it's meaningful character interaction that drives the story forward.
I've also been hard at work on the visual side, creating new animations and static images for recent content. My workflow involves rendering in Daz3D, compositing in Unity and Photoshop, and generating multiple iterations until each shot looks exactly right. Quality over quantity has always been my approach.

I've implemented several major features that will enhance the final experience:
FBI-Style Hint System: An immersive agenda with an incremental hint scheme - inspired by Return of Monkey Island but reimagined to fit our 1988 FBI setting and Ethan's investigative approach.
Dialogue Avatars: Character portraits now appear during conversations for better clarity.
Revamped Save System: Completely rebuilt for better reliability and user experience.
Scene Gallery: I'm planning to add a feature to revisit the best scenes from the game - you know what I mean. ;)

The full game will support 11 languages: English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Russian, Portuguese (Brazilian), Polish, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Korean. I'll do my best to update the demo with the new language options when possible, and I'm not ruling out adding even more languages down the line.

I'm currently deep into developing Day 2 content - one of the longest and most important sections of the entire game. Every week brings substantial progress towards that summer 2026 launch.
It's an incredible amount of work for one person, but I truly believe it's worth it.
If you haven't tried it yet, the demo is available right here on Steam. It gives you a taste of what Tenebris Legion is all about: classic point-and-click adventure gameplay meets visual novel storytelling with mature themes.

Thanks for all your support!
