It has been a while...

Hello there Steam people!

I know I have been radio silent for a while now and some things have been happening in the background that might have gone unnoticed.

First, if you want to play Chapter 2 betas right now, Just right click the game in your library and select the beta branch ( Right click > Properties > Betas > Beta Participation ). This will get updated regularly ( probably once per month ) and will give you ~20 minutes of playtime each time with content for the upcoming chapter.

I'll make a seperate news post on the main game page, but for now I kinda want to talk about what was happened in the last few months. I'm going to keep it short since...Well, not a lot has happened, sadly.

There is still no update to my case. It has been more than 6 months now that the highest court in Germany sentenced 4 out of the 5 people that were blackmailing and accusing me of things to several years in jail. The state attorney has been completely ignoring us, no matter regarding which case ( There is a compensation for the crimes they committed against me that we still didn't hear anything back yet from ). Thats it, though. It has been almost 2 years since my home was raided and they seized my stuff. Keep in mind that this is Germany and that this is the usual time it takes to go through everything, by the way. And unlike other countries, you always get your stuff back in the end when they didnt find anything incriminating on it ( it doesnt matter if they found something on one drive, they must hand out everything that is "clean" ). I basically said this last year already on the page for the "Main game", so I have nothing to report.

I guess the only positive thing I can report is that 4 of the 5 people that are involved in this whole scheme against me have been put to justice. The court hearing was last year, but in February of this year ( 2025 ) the supreme court in Germany basically confirmed the sentence. So that's something, I guess. The main culprit who is the reason my stuff got taken in the first place is still living a chill life in another country, though. The German law enforcement cant get a hold of him there.

So, let's talk a bit about Chapter 2 of the prequel. The release date for the full update is actually soon, since I'm on the last "day" of this update. Chapter 2 continues where Chapter 1 left off and continues the story exactly after Rei told you who her cousin is. This is of course an extremely shocking news for the MC and he has no idea how to process it. He will deal with it in a good way though, I think. There is going to be another big event happening in chapter 2 which I can't really spoil yet, but it involves Bethany and Katharina. You'll be surprised to hear about this one, I bet.

I'm more or less "Happy" with how things are progressing, even though I'm way slower on the update than I thought I would be, and I'm sorry for that. Life has been kinda tough lately and this whole situation that has been going on for almost 2 years is still taking a toll on me.

I'm incredibly grateful for all the positive comments you guys have been giving me, even though I was radio silent the whole time. I know I promised to be better and I broke that promise again, so I'm sorry. I deserve all the blame for that.

I'm going to try to answer all the questions you guys might have but I'd also ask you to look up if I didn't already answered them in different posts, especially ones on the main page.

I'm sorry if this update is rather short but I hope once Chapter 2 is fully done ( again, give the beta a try if you can't wait ), things will get better again.
