Greyvale Rivalry - Episode 2 - Status Update #1

Hello everyone,
Yeah, we know. It's been a hot minute since we last dropped a Steam post, and we are genuinely sorry for the radio silence. But trust us, we haven't just been sitting on our hands—we've been grinding non-stop, and we've come a very long way.
Last time we gave you guys an update, we were sitting at around 3,000 renders. Well, Episode 1 ended up being a massive 5,200 renders. On top of the static stuff, we also cranked out 90+ animations, which basically ate up almost two entire months to render. Since we were already going completely all out for the first episode's visuals, we figured, "Why not go all out with the audio too?" So, we bought proper music licenses from UPM, and judging by the reactions we've gotten for Episode 1 so far, it was 100% worth the investment.
Now, let's play catch-up and cover the lost time on the scenes we haven't posted about here yet.
Scene 8.5: This was one of our latest additions. It's a short alternative to the previous scene, but I personally absolutely love the dialogue in this one. It's currently sitting at around 65 renders but should end up somewhere around the 140–160 mark, plus a few animations thrown in.

Scene 12: This one took way longer than it had any right to for its context. We couldn't find an original setting that fit, so we just said "to hell with it" and built one ourselves from scratch. It's completely done now and clocks in at 188 renders.

Scene 13: So far, we've rendered around 246 images, but we'll make some additions, so the final total should be around 260.

Scene 13.5: Another scene with a brand new environment. Honestly, it wasn't too much of a headache, and we wrapped it up at 162 renders.

14th scene: It took almost a week for this one, but we're glad it's finished. Also, we've finally managed to guess the render amount of a scene. 441 renders.

Scene 15: I started this one a couple of days ago, and we really like how it's shaping up. It's short, sweet, and almost finished at around 100 renders.

Scene 16: Remember when I complained about putting too many characters in one scene? Yeah. This one took hours to render just because of the sheer number of people on screen. Hardware limitations kicked our asses and made it take way longer than expected, but it is finally finished at 110 renders.

Scene 17: The big one. The last scene of the first episode. We genuinely loved making this one—not just because we could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, but because it was actually a lot of fun to put together. Since it's the finale, it's also getting its very own cinematic!

Alright, now that we've covered the ghosts of Episode 1 past, let's talk about the first scene of Episode 2!
Episode 2, Scene 2: We decided to tackle the second scene first since it's one of the absolute hardest scenes of the episode. Getting the worst of it out of the way was a massive priority for us. It ended up being a whopping 300 renders. So far, we've managed to squeeze out 100 of them, but we are currently fighting for our lives trying to render the rest because the sheer size of the scene just keeps tanking the system and crashing our PCs.
