Devlog 3: Content plan

16/01/2026 · Release · Witch Potions - Craft of Lust

During the time the Witch Potions - Craft of Lust demo has been on Steam, we've received quite a lot of feedback—both about bugs in the game and about possible improvements to game mechanics.

We read your messages carefully not only in the discussions, but also on our social media, and we write down cool ideas that would be great to implement in the future. So we're always happy to get feedback and we're looking forward to it!

Our next big step in development is an early access release. And we'll add a lot of content so that your playthrough becomes more interesting and doesn't end in half an hour.

Now to what our team is working on and what our content plans are for the upcoming updates.

First of all, we focused on reworking potion-making: the mechanics of stirring the brew and heating the cauldron.

Now stirring has a large circular indicator and you only need to pick the correct color of the steam. And adjusting the airflow will allow you to manipulate the fire temperature under the cauldron more flexibly.

he tutorial will also be reworked to lower the entry barrier and make it more interesting.

We will fully update the beginning of the game—make it brighter, and touch on the story aspect.

We increased the size of the city map by adding a new district—"the "Port"—where several locations will appear with a unique set of characters and mechanics.

We’re expanding the functionality of the "Tavern," adding new characters and visitors. As you know, the current version of this location is a bit empty and has no activities, and there were also bugs.

The bugs have already been found and fixed, and they will not appear in the next version.

There will be new content too, like a "Notice Board" with orders, gossip, and rumors.

In addition, an activity will appear in the form of the "Arm Wrestling" game with local louts. As a reward for victories, Rena will receive golden butturens (the in-game currency), or something a bit hotter.

We understand that you want more responsiveness from the game world, and, as some of you noticed, not all potions work on Rena. And we plan for every potion to either have its original effect or change the witch's appearance.

Right now we have 3 potions in the works that will change the main character's visual look.

Strength Potion. It will add power and definition to Rena and... a bit of body hair.

Lunar Potion will reveal her beastly nature! And we decided that Rena is a bunny-girl. She likes all the same things rabbits do, and she won't say no to big, juicy carrots either.

And the "Deepwater" Potion will turn Rena into an exquisite fish-girl. We won't send her to the sea, of course, but such beauty looks pretty good on land too.

We want to reflect appearance modifications not only on the character, but also in animated scenes, so this isn't a quick task. That's why we'll be adding this type of content gradually.

And we also decided that a house without a bedroom isn't really a house at all.

And to better understand and use the environment, we decided to make the corresponding location. Because in some scenes the bedroom exists, but you can't enter it. A wardrobe with outfits for Rena will appear there as well, blueprints for upgrading the toolset, and storage for keepsake items.

We also haven't forgotten about the collectible cards that we promised you for reaching 15,000 wishlists. We're thinking through the visuals and working on a separate interface for them.

There are also 2 more locations planned, one of which will be partially locked: the "Witch's Greenhouse" and the "Swamp."

The Swamp is a location you can visit to gather ingredients and meet new characters who live there. And the main one is the Flesh Witch, already mentioned in Steffa's quest. A creepy but pretty lady with four arms. And seven fingers (and that's not a reference to neural networks at all, but a direct necessity!)

In the greenhouse, you'll be able to grow both standard consumable ingredients and special ones.

Also in the works are new character storylines that will appear in early access:

  • Argus—a mysterious representative of an extinct people.

  • Miloslava—a guest from distant and wondrous Hyperborea.

  • Akra—a warlike draconid girl who knows what she wants.

  • Erzhbet—an adventuress who picked up a spicy curse.

And of course, hot scenes with them!

The devlog turned out long, but there's a lot of news. Thanks to everyone for paying attention to the game, for feedback, and for all other activity. We appreciate it
