Development Update 13.03.2026
Hello everyone, welcome to this week's progress report.
Level:
Work on the World Tree continues, as we finished the rough blockout of the gameplay areas and are now moving towards building the tree and its surroundings with more detailed assets, while also producing the assets needed for the tree itself. In parallel to that, we cleaned up some areas that broke after adding and updating the modular tilesets. We also continued work on interactive objects and gave assets like the grappling hook points an updated look. With the incoming foliage assets, we added a temporary wind solution to the material of the finished plants.
Code:This week, we continued working on combat effects, as well as improving the swimming behaviour.
We also worked on a bunch of UI screens, mainly to make them gamepad compatible. Most of the game and its menus should now be fully playable on controller, excluding the sandbox editor.
We worked more on implementing sound events for combat and the environment, as well.
Character:Our work on the character underwear outfit continues and we hope to get them ready next week for at least a select handful of characters. The goal however is to eventually have these underwear outfits available to all characters in the game. We also improved/added a few office-themed outfits to Maya, Shey, Koodie, Geneva, and Shiva, mainly allowing for a clipping-free combination of these office outfits and the scientist outfits. We transferred the female Lizard Warrior outfit to Maya, as well - it will be an unlockable outfit in the story mode.

Animations: In the animation department, we have resumed work on finisher moves for the different weapon sets. We also completed another animation request involving Maya and Djablo. The Maya x Shey Futa animations have been completed and implemented, as well.
Design:In the design department, many things are happening: We are currently tuning all monsters and giving them enhanced AI behavior to have them ready for the open world and combat arena. For example, the Arac AI behaviour has roughly +50% more complexity, leading to more believable spider-like behaviour.
We are also continuing on the Sky Village quest iterations, fixing bugs, improving, and adding things here and there, and we finished populating Yterra with monsters and items. We finished dialogue review for the quest that leads to Max having a threesome, as well, and have started implementing it. We also finished the dialogues and quest structure for the Maya x Zuri quest, so we can implement it next. In addition to that, we started design work on an improved dialogue camera system.
Furthermore, we are improving on the environment ambience audio to create the desired mood and stay in line with the world design. Additionally, the different game states before and after the Blackrock introduction are now properly displayed in the game.

Thank you for all your continued support,
-Wild Life Team
