Development Update 06.03.2026

Hello everyone, welcome to this week's progress report. 

This week, the team was plagued by a flu outbreak and many have been out of order for a few days. With that being said, here is what we did manage to work on this week:

Level: 
During this week, we got additional hands on deck for the Level department in the form of a new Level Designer. The first task to tackle will be the area around the World Tree, which needs a redesign to fit the planned quest content for the area. Additionally, we experimented with eroded slopes along the sides of paths and rivers, while also producing more flavor assets for the environment, such as bone piles.

Code:This week, we started implementing more and better combat effects and worked on the skin/fur customization, mainly fixing bugs for existing systems like the tattoo system and the dirt feature.
On the UI side, Level ups have received a dedicated UI element and XP gain is also shown now.

Character:In the character department, we have made the first batch of outfit implementations, giving the Ancient Armor set to various Max and Sethro characters and giving the Casual Office and the Leather Harness outfit to a selection of Maya and Shey based characters. The underwear outfits are also making progress. 

Animations: In the animation department, we improved the Bow and Pistol aiming stance for Max and Maya, so they work better with the aiming camera.
We also worked on an animation request for the sandbox involving Maya and Shey Futa.

Design:On the quest side, we finished up the Max x Tali questline this week and prepared dialogues for the Max x Kenda x Kenda scene. 
We also finished the item and enemy placement in the Warrior Village area and the Adûn mountain pass and are currently working on Yterra.
The Sky Village quest implementation is also progressing well along with improvements of existing quests in the Sky Village.
