Devblog 2.9 + ARTS Kira

02/04/2026 · Release · Time Heals

Hey everyone!

It's been quite a while since the last devlog, and I've been mostly absent. Something unpleasant happened in my personal life that forced me to take a short break — but that's all behind me now. I'm back in my working rhythm and ready to move forward at a solid pace.

Bar Scene Rework

Let's start with the big one. The bar scene received a lot of negative feedback, so I made the decision to rework it completely. A significant amount of work went into the animations — there are more of them now, transitions are much smoother, and static renders have been added between animations. On top of that, the scene now includes a choice that will affect the story down the line. Most importantly — you will now have the option to skip the sexual scene with this character.

Music & Sound

I've added music and sound effects throughout almost the entire game — the scenes feel so much more alive now, and honestly this is one of the changes I'm most excited about. Many of you have shown interest in the game's music and left really warm feedback, so as I mentioned before, a built-in music player has been added directly to the game.

Upcoming Patch

A patch is coming soon that will include everything mentioned above: the reworked bar scene, new sounds and music, and support for additional languages.

On the Next Major Update
I did mention that the next update was going to be the biggest one yet — but given recent events, that plan will most likely be pushed back. I don't want to keep delaying releases and I'd rather finally establish a consistent, predictable update schedule. I think it's better to release smaller updates more often than large ones rarely.
New Hardware

Last but not least — great news on the technical side. I upgraded my PC components and performance has roughly tripled: renders complete much faster, projects open instantly, and I can run multiple programs at the same time without any slowdowns. This will significantly speed up development.

Thank you for your patience and support. I'll be showing up much more frequently from now on, and I'll be treating you to art posts and news along the way!
