📰 Dev Update #03 – Demo Progress & Community Feedback
We want to start by saying sorry for this Dev Update being one day later than planned.
This week, we’ve been putting a huge amount of effort into getting the demo ready, and that extra push caused a small delay in our usual update schedule. Our full focus right now is on finishing the demo by the end of February, and we’re doing everything we can to make that happen.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Before moving on, we want to highlight something that really matters to us.
Thanks to your participation in our Patreon character poll, we’ve already made a story-related change influenced directly by community feedback. This is exactly how we want development to move forward — with open communication and your voices actively shaping the game.
If you haven’t joined yet, we’d love for you to take part.
The poll is completely free to participate, and your input genuinely affects the direction of the story.

To everyone who voted, shared thoughts, and stayed involved: thank you. Being part of this process together means a lot to us.
Now, let’s take a look at what’s been done this week.
All visuals planned for the demo are now completed and currently in the rendering phase.
A total of 650 static images have been created specifically for the demo.
Preparations have started for upcoming seasonal events, including Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year themed content.
Technical work on the demo is moving forward steadily.
Required demo materials are being prepared.
Minor issues, such as small clicking and interaction bugs, have been fixed.
Gameplay testing is actively ongoing to ensure a smooth experience.
The story revision for Chapter I, including the portion featured in the demo, has been completed.
New dialogues have been added to improve flow and pacing.
A narrative adjustment was made for Gabrielle — while she was originally planned to appear after the demo, the story has been slightly expanded so players will meet her earlier.
We’re continuing to push hard to include all 7 girls in the demo, and we’re hopeful we can make it happen.
The demo is coming together quickly, and seeing everything take shape has been incredibly motivating for us. There’s still work ahead, but everything is moving in the right direction.
Once again, thank you for staying involved, sharing your thoughts, and helping shape Drift on Destiny Line with us. Let’s keep building this together.
