📰 Dev Update #02 – Pushing Toward the Demo

30/01/2026 · Release · Drift On Destiny Line

This week, we’ve been working intensely on preparations for the demo we’ll be announcing and releasing in the near future.

To be completely honest, it’s been one of those weeks where things don’t really stop — long days, constant adjustments, re-checking details, fixing things that break something else, and then fixing those again.

It’s exhausting in the best and worst ways at the same time, but it’s also the kind of phase that really pushes the project forward.

We’re putting a lot of focus into making sure the demo represents Drift on Destiny Line properly, both technically and creatively. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes right now, and while some of it isn’t immediately visible, it’s all part of building a solid and polished experience.

Before diving into details, we want to remind you that adding the game to your Steam Wishlist helps us immensely. It’s one of the biggest ways you can support the project during development, and it genuinely makes a difference.

🔧 Asteria – Technical Progress

On the technical side, this week was heavily focused on cleaning up issues and improving overall usability.

Several display-related problems in the Rewards Gallery have been fixed, ensuring that rewards now appear correctly and consistently.

A long-standing bug related to the Skip button has been resolved, improving flow during gameplay.

The Choices UI received multiple refinements, making player decisions clearer and more responsive.

Within the in-game phone system, bugs in the Messages section were fixed, alongside additional UI improvements to make interactions smoother and more intuitive.

Issues with the Back button were resolved, and various string and character-related adjustments were made to improve consistency and stability across the game.

In parallel, early experimentation is underway for new interaction systems aimed at deepening phone usage and making it a more meaningful part of the experience. These are still in a conceptual and testing phase, but they represent an important step toward expanding gameplay depth.

🎨 Caty – Visual Development

On the visual side, progress this week has been substantial.

Within Chapter I, more than 200 images have been updated. Some scenes received smaller visual touch-ups, while a large portion of them were fully rebuilt from the ground up to better match the current visual direction of the game.

A large render batch is still actively rendering, and this process will continue as visual improvements move forward.

The Patreon exclusive post for February is ready.

In addition, new scenes were created specifically for upcoming social media events, helping us better showcase the atmosphere and tone of the project.

Beyond Drift on Destiny Line, the character design phase for a new project we’ll be announcing soon has been completed, and work has now moved into concept scene creation. We’re excited to share more about this when the time is right.

🎵 Zrk – Story, Music & Community

From the narrative side, Chapter I received smaller scenario revisions, with dialogue being adjusted to feel more natural and organic.

Preliminary groundwork has also been laid for future language support, ensuring the script is better prepared for localization down the line.

For Chapter II, music production is moving steadily forward, with approximately 50% of the tracks now completed.

On the community side, the process of launching our Discord server is nearly complete.

Planning for the upcoming demo release has been mapped out, including scheduling and preparation for related events.

We’ve also been actively working on social media planning, aligning upcoming content with development milestones.

Finally, a transparent development roadmap has been prepared and will be shared on Patreon soon, giving supporters a clearer look at where the project is heading and what’s coming next.
