Closed Beta Update 0.8.9
The next community-voted investigator, Yanshi the Inventor, has joined the crew!

Yanshi was initially designed as an application-level AI specialized in mechanical design. After successfully completing numerous automated design projects, Yinglong Industries transferred her into a cyberdoll body to enable her to collect data and engage in self-learning in the real world as needed. However, as she was not originally developed as a general artificial intelligence, the emotional module installed in her does not synchronize properly with the motor system of her bionic body, making her speech and movements appear somewhat rigid and wooden. Though her expressions remain consistently blank and her speech lacks intonation, Yanshi does not lack emotions — she simply struggles to express them. She remains, at her core, the shy girl from the laboratory.
Version 0.8.9 marks the final test release solely focused on adding new characters. Thanks to active player feedback, we’ve migrated the engine from UE4 to UE5, refined the technical groundwork and architectural preparations for official launch, and resolved many audio-visual issues impacting the user experience. Based on the development team’s current assessment, Operation Lovecraft has met the requirements to advance to the next development phase, allowing us to expand beyond Closed Beta and reach a broader audience.
In 2026 we will prioritize development and iteration of the campaign mode, aiming to launch an open beta on Steam and merge the Demo and Closed Beta branches. This will allow players who missed the closed beta to experience the game as well.
Update 0.9.0 will introduce new investigators and maps, and will undergo a stress test on the closed beta branch to confirm if current server adjustments can support public testing traffic volume. Please stay tuned for more info.

Additions:
Advanced Research Pass: Yanshi
24 new sex scenes
97 new outfit pieces and accessories
New map: Neo Rhode Island, Mount Jerimoth
Map feature:
High Temperature: Investigator's skin will automatically become sweatier.
Blueprint Guarantee Mechanic: Starting from this version, each time you obtain a duplicate blueprint, it increases the probability of obtaining an unowned experiment on your next attempt. Each time you obtain a low-rarity blueprint, it increases the probability of obtaining a high-rarity experiment on your next attempt.
Based on gameplay history, any guaranteed rewards that should have been triggered before the implementation of this mechanic will be retroactively distributed to players via in-game mail. Players may freely choose when to use these guaranteed opportunities to generate unowned experiments.
Improvements:
Optimized breast/butt jiggle and muscle physics calculations. Breast/butt movement and amplitude now vary based on clothing, resulting in more realistic contours. Please note that this new physics calculation system does not work when running the game with DX11. This is an experimental feature that may cause game errors, so we disabled the feature at the moment awaiting further test.
Blueprints of different categories no longer open during batch analysis of a separate category.
Advanced Research Pass rewards now prioritize generating unowned experiments.
Male characters will retain transparency settings between sex scenes after adjusting said transparency.
Improved skin textures and ejaculation effects.

Addressed clipping issues with certain one-piece outfits.
Addressed issues where some outfits couldn’t adjust wear states.
