Bugfix and Solution

Hello everyone,

You may have noticed several recent updates (with no post) and the creation of a new branch about an hour ago.
These were all related to the black screen issue that some players have encountered.

While removing [c]--in-process-gpu[/c] has resolved the problem for some, it unfortunately hasn’t worked for everyone.
After investigating, I found that this issue can be resolved ( in a rather drastic way) by removing Steam integration entirely.

Unfortunately, Steam wasn’t able to recognize the difference between the two builds and refused to download the correct one, so I had to abandon that option for now.

If your game still won’t launch due to a black screen, you can manually remove Steam integration by following these simple steps:

1. Open the game’s local folder (Right-click the game in Steam → Manage → Browse local files).

2. Go to the js folder, then open the plugins subfolder.

3. Open [c]NekoGakuen_SteamworksPlus.js[/c] in a text editor (such as Notepad).

4. Delete all of its contents and save the file.

Please note that this will disable Steam achievements and any Steam-specific features.
