We’re taking part in a big two-week festival, and for this occasion we want to talk about our game’s development progress. It’s steadily gaining more content and mechanics, getting rid of old bugs and acquiring new ones.
We’re still aiming for an Early Access release and doing everything we can to bring that moment closer. And our goal is not to put out a game for half an hour. We want to make a truly interesting simulator in which your decisions change the story –– and in the future, the world system itself.

So we warn you right away: you will constantly be short on money, consumables, recipes –– and that’s normal. You won’t be able to solve all visitors’ problems at once. This is a game where you will suffer, but also get rewards for your decisions, which will bring you new alliances, animated scenes, funny situations, and unique experiences.
Now to what our team is working on and what our content plans are for the upcoming updates.
Right now we’re focused on adding activities in the form of mini-games and believe us –– these aren’t just clickers for making money. These are full-fledged story branches with their own ending variants. For example, we continue working on the “Arm Wrestling” game, where Rena will challenge the “Iron Paw” club. She will take part in real louts’ games and earn the title of championess… if it works out, of course.
Because in any competition there are stakes, and it’s not only clinking coins, but much hotter arguments –– and whether they’ll be a winning or losing kind depends on you.
We added a new location, the “Bedroom in the hut”, where in the future there will be small activities, and also a wardrobe with outfits and a workbench for cauldron modifications. Because we’ll be brewing not only potions, but also things that can be sold to local taverns… And yes –– you didn’t think you’d have to stir potions by hand all the time, did you? Any work can be automated!
Well, these are plans for the future, and we’ll work on them gradually, but for now you’ll simply get access to a room with new visuals, where there is a bed…

Reworking the game’s start and the tutorial.
We’ve already laid the foundation in the form of new animations and a small story teaser for the start of the game, because we need to understand how Rena ended up where she ended up.
And in the new house she will meet a new character –– the familiar –– who will help or interfere throughout the whole game. We’ll tie the new tutorial system to this character.
Many of you complained that in the demo version the hints aren’t informative enough and disappear too quickly. Now the tutorial will be set up so that you’ll have to perform certain actions that the familiar asks you to do. He will comment on both correct and incorrect decisions, which will help you get used to the game’s basic mechanics faster.
Now Rena can drink potions that change her appearance. At the moment we’ve managed to implement three such potions, which will affect Rena visually not only in the game, but also in animated scenes:
“Moon Potion”;
“Strength Potion”;
“Deepwater Potion”.
Right now we’re testing how these potions behave, and at the moment we’re more than satisfied with the result, because it looks lively and bright. In the future we want to add character reactions to your appearance, but we’ll do it gradually, so don’t expect a ton of variety right from the start.

Right now we’re working on another key character and a story branch with a location –– namely, the Flesh Witch from the local swamps, whom you may have heard about while completing some quests.
The Swamp is a location you can visit to gather ingredients and meet new characters who live there. And the main one is, you guessed it, the Flesh Witch. A creepy but pretty lady with four arms. And seven fingers (and that’s not a reference to AI at all, but a direct necessity!)
At the moment we can share the character concepts.
Also in the works is a story branch for a character from another universe who suddenly, like Rena, ends up in this world –– this is Miloslava, familiar to many.
For her we’ve prepared several modifications that you can apply if you suddenly feel like fooling around, however they still require testing and a lot of painstaking work.
All we can say is that her story will also lead you to the Swamp. And whether you help or harm the representative of the mighty Rus’ –– that’s up to you.
